Trouble running Mame and PC games through GameEX
« on: July 29, 2008, 05:26:44 pm »
With the Mame games, I put the roms in the right folder, designated it and Mame32 as the appropriate rom folder and emulator, respectively, yet still GameEx does not list the games held within the folder. With PC games, I simply don't understand what to type into the configuration wizard for App Path and App CMD.

EDIT: Thank you Headkaze. Your solution has Mame working just fine. Now, then, how about App Path and App CMD?

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Did you set the rom folder dir in MAME itself in the directories path options?

Yes. When I run Mame32 sans GameEX, all the games show up just fine.

Hmm.....
I'm not familiar with GameEX, so I thought I'd try the usual answer first that covers most FEs.

You probably need to run a "List Update"
