No-Intro Dat Files Help please.
« on: July 26, 2008, 01:50:14 pm »
Does anyone have the dat files for nes, snes, genesis, and so on, that matches with the naming convention of emumovies snaps/videos?  I downloaded what I though was no-intro dats but the naming conventions don't line up, and I get no previews in my front end.

Thanks,

--DS

The EmuMovie console sets are using the GoodTools naming scheme.  Circo has announced that he is going to be converting over to No-Intro scheme shortly.  I am not sure if this is for all sets or just the new .FLV sets we will be using in HyperSpin.

I noticed he has converted some, but they still appear to have the Cowering naming convention, (U) instead of (USA)  like no into.  I just convereted all my NES and SNES and Genesis to the No Intro Convention, got all my snapshots for nes and snes matching the new mame convention, but can't find a good way to auto rename the Movies.

No-Intro changed their naming convention on me....doh!  went from (U) to (USA) there wee some other minor changes but you can fix the set at least 90% by using a batch file renamer and changing (U) to (USA)

I have learned my lesson though, I am going through the sets and renaming everything, will now include dats for the sets as well as dats for the roms, custom to match the set exactly, IE mostly (USA)

Also as I release the new flv sets for hyperspin I will release updated .avi sets.

Some sets will be the same, but others (like SNES) are getting a huge upgrade :)

Thanks for the update, I look forward to the releases with dats for both roms and movies and hopefully snaps/titles would make things so  nice :)
