Laptop External Monitor - HELP! Alt Tab Issue for games
« on: July 25, 2008, 06:52:50 am »
Hey I got a new lenovo 19" monitor for my acer aspire 1640 laptop.

However now when I try to alt tab out of full screen games such as Warcraft III or Age of Mythology, it takes a full second of black screen before I see any image.

I have lots of memory about 700MB free, (total 1.5Gigs). It's not a speed error since without the external monitor there is absolutely no delay or any black screen when I alt tab.

Does anyone know how to fix the 1 second of black screen every time I alt tab?

Help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds normal to me.  You've got some major app switching going on there.

If it didn't swap back given a significant time frame I'd be concerned, but one second?
