Newer Mame older roms
« on: July 27, 2008, 10:57:05 pm »
Curious question....

I just started building my cab. I was setting up my computer and everything went well. I set up maximus arcade with no big issues. I dl a couple of roms to try it out and things went well. I was looking around in some old software that I had and found a DVD full of mame roms. I loaded them on the HD thinking that they would work fine. I wouls say at least half won't run. Are there issues using older roms with a new version of mame?

Thanks,
Tracy

Short answer - YES

Long answer - If you use clrmamepro it should help you find the roms with errors. Hope this helps.

Or you could use the Mame version as your roms.
