Wonderboy in Monsterland
« on: July 11, 2008, 05:22:40 pm »
Hello!

I really like to make a cab for this game, but i cant find a picture of it anywhere - so - what i am going for is these instead, only, i donīt have any messurements at all, so maby some one could help me with that...
Here are the cabs that i like for this project:

Altered Beast

or

Crowns Golf

or

Wonder boy

The easyest thing is if you have this cab, take a picture of it from the side and put one meassure on it, then when i draw it in Auto Cad, i just scale after the messure... and woila  :)

If any of ou have another idea for a cab that will suit this lovly old game, please speak your mind  ;)

thanks in advance!

The Altered Beast looks like a conversion of Williams Robotron. Look for Robotron plans.

I loved this game.... hence caught my attention and just wonderign how plans are going for this?

You have to use the wonderboy style cabinet... its a simple cabinet the side art will be simple to create.... however the dimensions are always the hardest part!!
http://www.ggdb.com/GameByName.aspx?c=Coin-Op&s=Arcade&vid=3438

I live in the UK and dedicated arcade cabinets are impossible to find, however I have sourced alot of plans by using a simple method.
I find people on ebay.com who are selling the cabinet and get them to take a side/front/back profile pictures of the cabinet. Explain I cant buy due to the shipping etc.. but help is appreciated. They take the pictures I then draw them in autocad or even photoshop send them back and ask if they could spare time in adding the measurements. 8/10 people will actually do this.

If you get any luck let me know... as I wouldnt mind a nice retro sega cabinet :)

Havent done the cabinet yet, but the SEGA cab youre suggesting is the best so far!

I also had made my cabs in Autocad, it makes it much easyer when "transferring" it over to MDF!! - maby we can swap some plans?? so far i have Defender, Ms. Pac Man (Galaga), Arkanoid and Nintendo (DK, DKJ ect.)
