Game board not giving sound...
« on: July 08, 2008, 09:09:45 pm »
I've got 2 identical game boards: Thunder Dragon. Swapping the two in the same cabinet gives the following results: one has sound, the other doesn't.

Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting to fix the dead sound one? YES the "sound on" dipswitch is on, and the volume pot is turned up.

Thanks.

clean the egde board traces where the jamma connector goes on. Sometimes it's just dirt. After that (problem still there) it's a matter of looking for damage traces, parts, bad capacitors, maybe even the "volume knob" could be bad (or, you turned it the wrong way and volume is now actually OFF)
NO MORE!!
