Lave,
Thanks for the quick response.
Here's a quick example I threw together that has (nonfunctional) tabs across the top for selecting categories. The page indicator (dots in this case) along the bottom could be made a single image with multiple files for each page (titled "page01.jpg", "page02.jpg", "page03.jpg, etc.). Your app would only need a single additional tag, such as [PageNumberGraphic], and then would automatically know which file to insert in that region based on which page the user was on. It would be up to the user to create the appropriate graphic image for each page.
I've been using it, and it's awfully easy to launch the same program multiple times before it actually launches (by simply tapping on it multiple times). Perhaps once a program launches, you can prevent further taps by the user?
As far as music goes, I was just thinking of playing a song in the background while the menu is up.
Also, it would be cool to have some feedback when a user hits a button. In addition to each image tag [Image01], there could be an alternate image tag [AltImage01] that would be displayed when the image was pressed. Sound feedback (a click or something) would be cool as well.
I know you're just working on this for fun, please don't take all this to sound demanding. These are just my thoughts for what I'd want in a touchscreen frontend.
