MultiJuke turning into a FE, but what should it named? [MultiFE] {screenshots}

About:
I'm planning and expanding MultiJuke to turning into a FE (with all Jukebox part intact).

Because Multiple Jukebox is a wrong name for a jukebox software with soon added frontend, the software name should been renamed. I'm are still not sure to what, but I do not want to have MAME into that, since multiple emulators would been covered.

Not sure to what, but MAME (most important), console emulators and PC games would/might been covered and treated like a new library (Jukebox section cover Singles, Albums and a another library called Explorer).

There are no screenshots yet for the new FE, but the interface & config etc is all extract the same and would support Arcade, Jukebox and Touchscreen GUI as well (MultiJuke have 3 interface to chooice from to cover diffecent of controls) and might have some unique (or not) features. It would been fun to add a Lightgun GUI as well, but this is not a priotity at all, but it would been possible.

Please Note:
Im are still MaLa fan, and I would still fully supporting Loadman to update what he need (I have coded the new MaLa page) and I also still need to move the document finish to Wikipedia as well and mightbeen other MaLa thing (I still have a JPS plugin to been finished, I came to forgot, but I even release that sooner or later). So don't worry Loadman.

Data Release:
Not annonce yet and I might not create WIP until it finished, since I make sure I add all featueres I want first and make sure it works on Linux (YEP!) and Windows.

Multi is not required to been included as name. The work name I use for the next version actually not use it.

There is one I really like very much and the domain name is not even is taken. The name is not used either my nick or workname used.

I register the domain name soon so make sure I got it, before I announce it. Fell free to other title idea, because I first register that domain over the weekend.

Today it is mostly cocktail controls features added on and possible to use 4 control sets for navigation, rather than working on library it self (which most configuration and database creation done, but no other yet).

The domain is still not registred by my webhosting, so no annonce yet until that is done.

The software is still freeware with possible donation and dosen't plan to change that. And if and then I change this to shareware, you of course get a free version of it  , but I also dosen't have so much monly. Of course you got some credits and eventuelly a homepage.

I do not plans to change the little nag on that, which only show in the startup in first two hours after the application i just started. But I might change that.

For others, I diddrent really like to use my name for use in a title (even some is really nice).

My work name was actuelly JukeCade.

But still if it turning into shareware, I'm do gladly give a free license for all 3 final names I really liked (even it diddent "won").

But I dont think due it for Linux as well Windows, so it still possible to do a donation.

domain finally works and have a very mini page.

I choiced MultiFE, since this front is really what it is. I surpriced the domain was not taken, but I have registred it (multife.com). There was no direct reason to have Juke or my own name as well, which I can use that in a subtitle or such.

This is really  Multi Frontend, since jukebox and emulators is highly intregated, but both still can been use seperated (example on a jukebox cabinet or mame only cabinet).

This frontend would release to both Linux as well Windows...

I guess this might take a month or two. But I do keep posting here. This is due I have some idle due to the hot weater in Denmark.

But MultiFe was a really cool name.

I don' t really like this name 

Sound like you create  a sport car, and you call it "sport car".

"Dodge Viper"  or "AC Cobra" sounds better for a sport car ! 

But it is juste my Taste!    I think the most import is not the name!

The reason is the original name was 'MULTI'ple 'JUKE'box (MultiJuke) and MultiFE is very close.

If I use JukeFE, it could sound it's is just a Jukebox frontend. I did like that name too.

If I used MameJuke, the mame is still a trademark, and I want to support other emulators as well and not just mame. It also not alone to Mame.

I do really like FractusFE, Just not sure all can remember that. It not direct part of my name, but close. I simply wont have my nick name as a title.

If I used JukeCade (Jukebox Arcade), it could like somelike a Jukebox Frontend again and is simulat to either Arcade Jukebox 8 or Arcade Music Box. Sound not a FE.

I do not really like to use some part of my nick name (Space Fractal). So I never liked to use something like my name.

Other names have either domains taking or is allready trademark or such.


That why I choiced MultiFE = 'MULTI'ple 'F'ront'E'nd. But I known, it really need a good subtitle as well.

So that why I used MultiFE as name: Multiple Frontend.

I known very generic, but I known not all actuelly known what FE really is (also the shorted frontend -> FE)....

I guess I can find a much better subtitle as well, which is actuelly "MultiFE - Multi Frontend for Jukebox and Emulators".

I just still like that, because it on sync with MultiJuke and use the same source as MultiJuke. MultiJuke v1.12 is mightbeen the last version of it and then develop future under the new name.

Now the domain have been paid and is use and the domain is in use.

Of course not all like that, and that it, and there is also other FE that use other generic names (which I wont use of course).

otherwice I need to change it to FractusFE, even its harder to remember. But not now.

hehe, yes. But it not so hot anymore. We have one of the hostest weater in May month as well.

Anyware I have done most of the configuration part of the core feature.

I still develpoment in this (Multi)FE.

I think most features is done, but there is still various features missing I want to addon before relasing a Beta.

I guess it still take few weeks to go, but still not sure about the date.

When it going to release or very soon to release I create a new WIP/Beta thread.

I also fixed some various bugs in Jukebox section as well and added more cocktail modes as well (cocktail is not needed).
