Wait a minute, if I recall correctly there was only 6 MegaMan games released for the NES. Part 7 was for the SNES and Part 8 for the PSX. Then when MegaMan hit it's 10th year anniversary, they decided to release a special version part 9 for the SNES even though the system was by then already dead.

So is this supposed to be that anniversary edition part 9 that was made for the SNES but with NES graphics?  :dunno

And oh yeah, I still nedd to pass part 4 and up as well.

Are you sure you're not referring to MEGA MAN & BASS?

FROM WIKIPEDIA: Before an English title was announced for the game, fans thought of Rockman & Forte as Mega Man 9,

That's pretty much the closest thing I could find to your reference of Mega Man 9.

Megaman and Bass!

Yes that is it.  Many people thought it was part 9 since it was released right after part 8. I guess this new one officially is part 9. Although the rom I have for the SNES reads Rockman9j, meaning its part 9 japanese version.

I haven't checked my Wiiware in a long time. Have they released all the previous Megaman NES and SNES games?

Why since 1996? The greatest gaming new since 1996 was in 2004.

I don't think so but they do have the Mega Man Collection for Gamecube (and other systems) which has 1 through 8 (and a couple of arcade fighters).  The best part is that you can now "save" games on MM1.

What happened in 2004, come to think of it, what happened in 1996?

Was that game really that good? I really don't know anything about it besides being about that green character rolling trash around. It could easily be about a dung beetle. Correct me if I'm wrong.

btw what happened 1996?

I have all the games except part 8. I think I'm gonna play them all before playing MegaMan 9.  :)

It looks awesome! That beginning level theme brings back so many memories. And they're keeping the original appeal of the NES versions which is making it look awesome! I can't wait to play this!

I just wonder if its being run under the NES emulation system or maybe the SNES but they just decided to keep the classic NES graphics. Well, whatever emulation system, I just hope it doesn't have any slow down like in certain parts of the NES games. :notworthy:
