Buying Monitors in Australia?
« on: June 26, 2008, 07:24:21 am »
Has anyone had any luck in finding any arcade monitors in Australia, I've fired off a few emails but no one seems willing to return them.

a fantastic option for you is to get a tv and install one of jomacs universal chassis,
www.jomac.net.au
also joey does have some stock of complete monitors

I can recommend Jomac too, as I have purchased a few chassis from him.

Delivery times are super-fast, and he will give you telephone support too.  I've had amazing results using his "Sharp Image" chassis on 29" screens recovered from old TVs (hint - Philips is a good brand, but almost anything except a Sony trinitron screen will do).

You have to be prepared to attach a monitor chassis to a screen, and take some simple measurements from the yoke with a multimeter before ordering.
Check out my completed projects!

+1 for jomac

Joey fixed a chassis that came free with a dead cab I picked up ... great service and reasonable prices.
Shut up! Bloody Vikings!!
