Calling anime heads
« on: June 26, 2008, 03:03:10 am »
I'm looking for an early 80s piece called something like The Gemini Prophecy. On some other planet, these fraternal twins are genetically endowed with the power of the 'solar surge' and use it to fight the evil robotic machines of Mother, who is determined to wipe out humans. Anybody know where I might find this?

You would be surprised at Fry's Anime catalogue.

Suncoast has a good selection, and comic book stores are a good source.

It looks like mail order to me.  Try these guys:

Anime Jungle
5-12-4  Nipponbashi, Naniwa-ku
Osaka, 556-0005
Japan

Tel: (81) 6-6636-7444

I haven't used them before but it would never hurt.

I hope your Japanese is up to scratch!  ;D  Try this:

こんにちはDVDまたはVHSのジェミニ預言を有するか。 クレジットカードを取るか。

Hello do you have The Gemini Prophecy on DVD or VHS?  Do you take credit cards?
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

I looked all those up online. Nothing in any of their databases.

Damn im good at google  :laugh2:

I'm not sure i tried "Gemini Prophecy" then "Gemini Prophecy twins" then "robot gemini twins" "solar surge twins" and a few other combo's not sure what one i used but the info i found from the above serches gave me more info and then that info moved me into 2 different paths which gave me 2 animes and they are the ones below

Even typing in Gemini Prophecies still doesn't show up the ANN website in google so im not sure what i used to find altho it is showing a torrent for the anime in google

Anyways Glad i could help

Mm. Yeah, I typed both the main titles. I wasn't sure which it was as when I saw it - in '83 or 4 - it was on a UHF channel and the logo text seemed kinda cheesy so I thought maybe it was some kind of literal translation, but not necessarily the title it went under. I hadn't thought to do all you did. That was beyond the call of duty, man. Thank you.
