Vision Pro and ground wire
« on: June 15, 2008, 09:36:00 pm »
I replaced a monitor in one of my cabs with a Vision Pro, and I'm no longer using the cab's power via the isolation transformer (I'm plugging the monitor straight into a power strip).

Do I still need to connect the cabs green grounding wire to the new monitor? I'm assuming I don't, since the monitor plugged into the powerstrip should be grounding it.  Would it hurt things if I did connect the green wire to the monitor?

As you can tell, I'm no expert on grounding.   :P
