you know the ones you see at the bar that sit right onthe bar top. usually with some gambling game inside.

what are they called and does anyone have any simple building plans for one?

I think they are just called bartop cabs... I haven't seen plans for them, but i know you can pick em up fairly cheap in some places...

i think ill just design my own. I want a swivel and roomjust enough for a joystick and a few buttons

If you plan to use a joystick, I doubt you want a swivel (lazy susan). Seems it would make joystick play difficult.

The games for the megatouch aren't emulated just so you know. And spectre i don't know where you've seen a merit megatouches for cheap. If they have a bill changer in them they usually sell for somewhere between $1000 to $5000 at auction. Those things are like goldmines for bars and last for years.

I think he plans to use a joystick and everything with it, he probably is doing a mini mame cab... not a touch screen cab...

they have barebones 1ghz systems with case, mobo, and power supply on ebay... i saw them for 10 bucks... noo ne was bidding... go on there and get lucky...

http://bizsyscon.com has 9" VGA monitors for almost nothing. Same place that had the NIB Wells Gardner 19" VGAs a while back and that still have the KDS Pixeltouch 21"

There's a few on ebay right now that've been going for around $15 plus $15 shipping. Axion SVGA Color 9". Just picked up two over the weekend.
