incredible hulk
« on: June 13, 2008, 08:28:15 am »

rocked (",)

has a nice tie-in with  ironman, surprisingly (to me). i think i enjoyed iron man more, but only because it was all totally new to me. hulk i remember the tv series, although that did add to the fun of seeing the  lou ferigno cameo. stan lees cameo was cool too.

that restored the yin/yang of movies after seeing indiana jones...

I'm planning on seeing it tonight, looking forward to the new spin on it.  The last Hulk movie was horrible, and I'm guessing that's going to hurt the numbers for this one.

The Ang Lee Hulk movie has been the only comic book movie worth a damn, IMO.

Are you serious, or does Saint need to get out the hose again?  ;)

If you haven't seen it, here's Ed Norton's appearance from Jimmy Kimmel's show.

I'll second Danny and eat every single one of those words against Norton as Banner I posted prior to the movie coming out.  The guy was flat out awesome, and he and Liv Tyler made this movie sing.  Don't believe what some reviewers are saying about her portrayal of Betty Ross; I was in a nearly packed house for the 12:15 (ie FIRST) showing here in town and there are parts of it that left every one near tears.  One guy, in fact, called his buddy to tell him how powerful it was after the film was over.

This is what we've been waiting for.   :applaud:  :applaud:  :applaud:  :applaud:

It wasn't mindless and it had a unique style.

 :dunno

True and true.  Unfortunately it also had the most retarded ending of any movie in history.  It also had horrible CG monster dogs.

I loved the 2 first movies , didn' t see yet the third.

My preference is may be the first one. more "deep" , i think.

Speaking about "marvel" films ,  i liked spiderman 1 , loved the 2 , and hated the 3.

That's because Spiderman 1 & 2 were excellent movies and 3 was a stinky garbage can filled with poop.

went and saw it, not impressed. Now don't get me wrong it wasn't bad and there was nothing really wrong with it; there was just nothing stand out special with it either. As others stated, there were some great moments in the film despite liv tylers in ability to act, at all. Its was much cooler to see the bad guy fight the hulk before he became abomination imo.

I think the hulk works better as a TV show then a movie and while Iron man tie in was nice (they were using STARK industry equipment in the movie as well) and it will be interesting to see how the Avenger movie goes down.

All this talk of Ang Lee's Hulk movie being the only one with substance...... I thought the Punisher was pretty freekin good and comic book factor aside, its a pretty great film.

Iron Man > This Hulk > getting stabbed in the eye with a pencil > Ang Lee's Hulk Dogs

PS: Lou Ferrigno is still HUGE and hes like 56!

EDIT: First Hulk movie was in 1990(?)  the death of the incredible hulk with Bixby/Ferrigno

Holy crap you aren't kidding! There is a picture on the website for American gladiators that shows him standing next to Titan while Titan was getting painted green. He frikkin towered over Titan.

Actually, that was the 3rd in a set of made for TV movies..

"Return of the Incredible Hulk", "Trial of the Incredible Hulk" and finally "Death of the Incredible Hulk" ...  all with Bixby/Ferrigno.
