Mamewah Sound Equalizer?

Is anybody running a sound equalizer program before mamewah to increase their sound quality, if so what? I'm looking to *Beef* up my backround music while in mamewah. Or is there a program that will filter the whole program itself? I guess if there was, it could be a serious lag issue. Thanks.
