I saw it yesterday and it did indeed not disappoint. The whole angle of "war is a dirty business but somebody got to do it" came over quite well and the movie wisely staid away from the "US hero to the rescue" theme. In real life, Myanmar (or Burma) is ruled by a bunch of thugs that are worse than any religious fanatic anywhere. The issue is that without the veil of religious (Iran) or political (North Korea) fanaticism most of the world ignores the country. They don't have oil or (obvious) nuclear ambitions so the powers that be just let the generals go about their business oppressing and killing their own people. A simple group of people going in with guns doesn't change anything but the condoning attitude of the world makes me sick sometimes

And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three.
