AVG 8.0 Virus checker - help needed
« on: May 29, 2008, 09:19:41 pm »
A friend of mine scanned his computer with this product, and it appears to have deleted all of the messages within his inbox!  Is there any way to recover this?  He hadn't read some of the emails - any way to fix it?

Thank you, as always! :)

Check the AVG forums as they seem to have threads about this.  I didn't see a solution in my quick search for it.   :dunno

Actually found a link to tech services for the company.  They, not at all to my surprise, do not offer support if you only download the free version as my friend did.  However, if one is willing to purchase their product first, you can then have phone support for an additional $19.95 for every 15 minutes it takes to solve the problem.

My friend, of course, passed on this. Basically AVG is of no use to him now.
