Couple games value question
« on: May 29, 2008, 08:48:38 pm »
I have 2 cabs I want to unload.
Track and Field
Kung Fu Master

Both are fully working. Good condition. No side art on the T&F.
Both have new monitors.

A buddy of mine might buy them...just wondering what a fair price would be?

Thanks for any insight.

Track & Field is a desirable game... depending on condition I would pay $200-$400 for it.  Kung Fu Master isn't nearly as desirable... again,  depending on condition I'd pay $100-$200 for it.

Keep in mind I am an admitted cheap bastard.  If it's a friend though,  you may consider these prices.

Or you can ship `em to me free and be done with it!

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

I was thinking $200-400 for Track and Field myself, depending on condition.

Kung Fu Master....not sure how many people care. $100-150 is what I'd pay, only in great condition (since I care nothing about the game itself)

I'm pretty sure Kung Fu Master was only out as a conversion kit.
NO MORE!!

Nope, it was a standard machine...I put thousands of quarters into at about age 13-16.
I remember back then wondering if I'd ever be rich enough to own one :D

Thanks for the other replies as well.

I dunno, maybe not.
I assumed it meant that perhaps KFM were not manufactured but you could get a kit (pcb, controls, marquee, glass, etc.) to change a game over to another one. So everything would be different but the cabinet, monitor, power supply.

Am I even close?

Yup, you're spot on.
I guess I never had the pleasure of seeing a dedicated then. (That's a game that had a lot of bootlegs floating around)
