Picture Roll w/ ArcadeVGA/JPAC/ 25” Monitor
« on: May 27, 2008, 12:47:07 pm »
I have an ArcadeVGA/JPAC in a Smash TV cabinet with the 25” Monitor (has a Zenith sticker on tube).

Smash TV, Total Carnage, all Neo Geo, and most horizontal games work fine.

Problem:

Windows in 640x288 rolls the picture.

Ms. Pacman (vertical game on horizontal monitor) and CPS2 games roll the picture.

I have read that I should be able to find a V-Hold setting on the monitor that is stable across the resolutions. Is this true?

Is there a MAME setting that could help with this problem?

Thanks.

Try setting your monitor to that resolution and then locate your vhold nob on your screen controls and adjust that until the picture holds.

Thanks for the advice. I contacted Andy and he said adjusting the V Hold  should do the trick. I have located the knob but haven't tried it yet, been too busy playing Total Carnage.
