First, I am getting in line for the MGS4 PS3 pack 6/11/08 in the afternoon.  So yes, (hopefully), I will have a PS3 that has software reverse compatibility.

HOWEVER, I want a functioning PS2 to use for my PS2 games so I don't burn up my PS3 on them.

SYMPTOMS:

Sometimes just FREEZES. I can hear it beeping, spinning, and hunting.

Sometimes, it plays the game, but with NO SOUND (Staw Wars Battlefront 1).  I know

I know there are a few fixes (laser relaignment being one), but the stmptoms don't seem to support that.  Any help diagnosing this would be appreciated.
