Not a chance. Dreamcast emu is a long, long way off yet.

They're just about cracking Model 1 and 2 emulation at the moment and that requires top spec machines like yours so I doubt they'll have DC emulation for another 4 or 5 years.

If you get an x-arcade pcb (you can order them separarely from the entire stick) they supply (admittedly kind of expensive) adaptors so you can connect your DC, PS2, GC and whatever consoles come out in the 256 generation to your cabinet as well as MAME. If you're interested in going for a multi-console compatable cabinet its worth thinking about.

I've got Ikaruga, Soul Calibur, Virtua Tennis for my DC. There are some fantastic arcade games available really, really cheap at the moment so i'd recommend anybody to buy one. They're only 20 quid on e-bay.

I got Bangai-O by Treasure this week. It's bloody fantastic. Like Robotron with even more action. Only cost me a fiver as well.

YEah, Dreamcast is like the King of Arcade-style home games....Crazy Taxi....that zombie fighting game (like Die Hard Revenge or whatever that arcade game was called)......San Fran Rush, all would play great on a cab......but so far you're still swapping CD's.  would be nice if they had it mocked up so you could run the images off a HD..but...we're not there yet ;)

Sorry to bring up an old post, but I've managed to intergrate my dreamcast into the cabinet...its not the most elegant of configurations but it's all hidden away in the cabinet.  Basically all you need is a VGAbox, two switch boxes (data type like the ones to share a printer) and a few cables to splice the controllers to the I-pac...

it may not seem like much, but i was particularly proud of it :-)

There is a post in the Main forum about linking the Ipac and dreamcast, i can't take credit for it but you can hook up the hacked dreamcast pads to the Ipac along with your normal control panel, but you have to use diodes....i plan to do it with a 4 player setup and have the dreamcast be behind the coin door....

There is NO dreamcast emulators out there of any value ... yet...

If there where, you would see it on every emulation site out there.

But real progress is coming with one.  LOOKS SWEET, isn't released, and only gets about 10fps right now in many games.  (Ikarnus or something).

but if you want someone to send you a trojan, sure try it.
