Super Pac Man cocktail #211 sound probs. help?
« on: May 07, 2008, 10:40:23 pm »
Hey yall. I recently bought a kit of stuff for my bare Super Pac Man cocktail. It came with the underlay, control panels, harness, and linear power supply. I have it all hooked up and i found that the sound is crackly during game play. During silent moments when idling, you can hear what sounds like an old record clicking and popping when the needle would hit a scratch. I saw one restoration site where there was a sound problem and this was fixed by putting a switching power supply in the cab. I did this, eliminating the linear PS, and I still have the sound problems. Any ideas?

My upright PAC-MAN does this all the time!

It drives me crazy! And it has a new switching PS in it.

There was a thread here, where a guy had a PAC-MAN cocktail.

That was making alot of noise.

And Mike from www.mikesarcade.com helped him fix it.

But i can't find the damn thread!

If you can?

Please PM it to me.

Thanks so much!  Bucket.....
