If there's one word that could sum up AOL for well over a decade, it's superfluous. Back when they were the only thing going, they were fine. Now that there's REAL internet service providers, who the hell needs 'em?
Has it been that long?... wow, yeah, it has been that long. Ever since AOL tried to get into that broadband thing they've pretty much jumped the shark. WTF were they thinking with that? Pay for broadband
and pay for AOL service? Stupid.

I checked out AOL on a whim last year and they hid a lot of stuff that I used to play around with when I had their service (yes, I'm sorry). Their entire file section is completely crippled, if you could find it at all. Their permanent topic focused chat rooms are practically dead. And most of the interesting free stuff are now hidden away or completely removed in favor of the advertised or paid junk they now offer.
About the only reason that I can think of that anyone would want to stay with AOL is their McAfee subscription.
Hey, I'm trying to be positive!
