adjusting monitor. GO7 i think?
« on: April 28, 2008, 08:03:05 pm »
need help adjusting the color on my monitor.  every was fine for the most part but i thought the red could be turned up a little.  and since this is my first arcade monitor, i have totally screwed all the colors.  yes i am a retard and i didnt mark the settings.   :banghead:

so basically the picture is dull.  biggest problem i see is that anywhere is supposed to be red is black.  i have searched around and found a few basic guides for setting up colors but i still cant get nothing.

i am pretty sure the monitor is a Electrohome GO7.  looks similar from the monitor ID page.  Attached is a picture to make sure.

I have two drives, red and green.  and three cutoffs, red, blue, and green obviously.

Yes G07, probably CBO. Start out with the Cutoff controls at 1/3 from minimum and the drives 2/3 . See what it brings you.

Keep in mind you have a 20 year old work horse and even they get tired.

Good luck, if you want call me toll free and I will try to point you in the right direction. (check the website for numbers)

Good luck

If you get a new monitor you can sell the chassis/neckboard here on the forums and it will sell no problem.

well i tried what you said and still nothing.  reds are definitely black.  cant get them to turn red with the drive or the cutoff.  greens are also weird.  very dull and same applies with both the drive and cutoff.

There is a transistor for each color I believe.  May want to check/replace them.  Some other guys can be more specific.
