Need help identifying 33" WG monitor
« on: April 27, 2008, 11:57:48 pm »
I posted this question in another thread, then I realized I was hijacking someone else's thread, so I'll start a new one.

I bought a Ridge Racer, and it has a Wells Gardner monitor in it. It has a pincushion problem, and I need to identify the monitor to try to figure out how to fix it.

From searching on here, it seems that it may be a k8000, which I think is medium res. It is working on my ridge racer which is supposed to be standard, so I don't know. Information seems kinda hard to find on these.

Here are the P numbers, maybe the combination will mean something to you guys who know this stuff:

Chasis - P657
Power - P715
Yoke - P583

Thanks,
Paul

I called WG, and my monitor is a K8000. I asked how a med res monitor is working on a std res game like Ridge Racer. The guy said they customized some of the monitors over the years to make it work. Does any one know what would have been changed?

I ordered a cap kit from Bob, so hopefully that will help with the pincushion problem.
