My first cab
« on: April 25, 2008, 05:15:22 pm »
Take it easy on me, this is my first cab that i am building. Basically just have the control panel left (Already have it cut out). I will make sure to post additional pictures of the build process.

Details:
3/4" MDF
Based of lusid's plans
Based HEAVILY off of Mountains cab
27" Betson
Black Laminated
Blue 13/16" T-Molding

If anyone is interested in using the CP graphic email me and I will send no problem. I also have my CP template for drilling holes if anyone wants that I will ship it to you for the cost of postage. It only has a small nail hole at each drilling spot. (I just have 1 of these)

Horrible, awful job .. looks like you took a staple gun to a pile of used packing pallets, colored with a used marker!

 :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Really though, it looks fantastic!! great job, 'specially for a first build! What are you using for the PC, Monitor and controls? Keep the pics coming :)
So a leper walks into a bar and as he gets his beer, a finger falls off. The bartender who is serving him turns and pukes all over the place. The leper, feeling bad, says, "Was it my finger falling off?" The bartender turns to him and says, "No, it's the guy dipping chips into your back."

Where did you get that piece that sits just below the display (it looks flat with a key whole on it)?

Nice work! Do you have a shot of the internals?

Thanks!

Thats the power button, with a blue ring LED in it.

The cab is empty now except for the monitor, need to do a little wiring in there and have the CP off now to begin wiring that. I will take some shots of that when I have it complete.

One of the best cabinets I ever saw with the word "lusid" in the announcement. Congrats on picking up all the good parts of the lusid design and dropping all the bad ones!   :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: :notworthy:

Nice first cab!  Now here's the important question;  Are you happy with it?  If you answered yes, then you have the best cab you could posses!

Thanks but I'm referring to this part. Is it simply black painted wood or something more.
