Kaga KZ-20EN H arcade monitor
« on: April 19, 2008, 08:45:27 pm »
Hi there.

I have a Kaga KZ-20EN H arcade monitor (mounted vertically in a galaga cabinet). I have a PC (P4-1.5 with a Nvidia MX4 card) and a J-pac which I have hooked up to the monitor. I am running windows XP with soft 15khz.

I have 2 problems. Firstly, while I can actually get a picture, it flickers and is split vertically (only 1 image, but shunted across).

The second is, as it is a vertically orientated monitor, for windows and frontends, they are displayed rotated 90 degrees. I can use software to rotate the picture, but this limits my resolutions available (it won't let me use lower resolutions).

I have tried a few cards (an older ATI Radeon, a MX2) but the MX4 is the best.

Has anyone else got a PC rigged up to one of these and what software have they used ?

Would an ArcadeVGA sold my problems ? (including the screen rotation?)

Cheers
