what do u guys use for side art on your cp/cabinet?
I want to stick this photo paper I printed.

is it ok to stick it to primed MDF? just like that
is there a way to protect the side art besides using plastic/plexi

You should spray a clear coat onto the photo paper. It adds durability and UV protection.

what kind of clear coat am i spraying?
should I use glossy or matte photo paper?

The type of paper won't really matter. Glossy paper makes the colors pop out more and most people will prefer that. It's also (usually) a bit thicker than matte. You also have adhesive vinyl (the a matte finish) you can use as well as satin finish which is fantastic too. Like Sharidan said, make sure you use a clear coat spray finish.
