JVC AV-27D200 Service Menu
« on: April 03, 2008, 09:32:01 pm »
What is the procedure to get to the JVC AV-27D200 service menu?

I need to adjust the screen size slightly, is that where I'd do it?

What else do I need to do on the service menu to get my display working best?
I'm using component video with an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro and a DVI to component adapter with 480i selected.

Can't be 100% sure about that since I got the TV for this project and didn't use it much befor hooking it up like this. However I did play my 360 on it for a week and didn't notice anything, and the guy who sold me it said there wasn't any problems.

I was just playing around with MAME's options since I just clued in that it might not have anything to do with the TV at all. In MAMEUI32, the Default Game Properties has an Advanced tab on it. If I enable one of the following options, I notice that the tear seems to go away, on the 3 games I tested anyway;

Triple Buffering
Sync to monitor refresh
Wait for vertical sync

That makes me very happy. However, are there any downfalls to using these options? I have an idea what they do but not really sure. Also, what does Refresh speed do?

Currently I have it set to Sync to monitor refresh.

I found out how to get to the service menu. You press "Sleep Timer" and then "Video Status" & "Display" at the same time.

I found where you can adjust the picture size and placement, which is what I wanted. However, there is one adjustment I'm not sure what to do about. The screen seems to be rotated slightly to the right as my little picture shows here with the red being my display and the black being my TV. How would I go about rotating it back level?

No, I couldn't find anything in the menu. A couple people told me that id have to make the adjustment from inside the set. If so, then I'll wait until I put it in the cab before adjusting it.

they were probably thinking of physically rotating the yoke .
as long as the case has never been opened , a loose yoke is unlikely.
i have since aquired the sams print .  pm w/addy , if u want it .
