Monitor Cable problem
« on: March 29, 2008, 05:40:20 pm »
Hi again

Ive been trying to remove my monitor from my cab, and all has gone well so far; however, in order to remove one of the nuts that was holding it to the cab, i had to cut a silver wire running around the entire circumference of the tube, as it was wrapped round the bolt. At the time, i did not see that this wire was connected to the neck board. Im now worried ive destroyed an important part of the monitor (though it looks like it could easily be re-soldered) What is this cable, and what does it do?!  ??? ??? I feel like a bit of an idiot now, hope it is easily repairable.  :-\

heres a picture of it, where it links to the neck board. The monitor is a 20" Hantarex MTC 9000.
