Should I go with a Sony KV-27FS210 27" TV?
« on: March 24, 2008, 09:27:49 am »
I am new to the hobby and I am trying to find a good TV to build my cabnet around.
I want to play all of the classics plus the 90's fighting games.
From the research I have done, a 27" with Component inputs are the best(For the money).
I will be decaseing the unit so having speakers on the side is no big deal.

I have found a 27" Sony KV-27FS210 for $120 and I may pick it up today.

But there are a couple of things I cannot find out about the unit.

What is the units resolution max?
Do Sony's have the power link feature?

Lastly would this unit be a good choice?

I think this TV would work fine, and it is a Wega which apparently have always had a good reputation (I think).  The max resolution should be 640x480.  If you find you get cut off at the top and bottom when running at 640x480, you can go into the TV's service menu and adjust the vertical size.
