How would you wire this Light Gun?
« on: March 19, 2008, 02:55:23 pm »
Hi all.  Tring to learn how I would wire this light gun.

I have 2 of them, one red, one blue, that came with the beat-up Zero Point cab I recently refitted into a MAME cab.

I know the guns work, at least they seem to work near 100%, and I have no idea how I would wire them to my current setup.  If anyone has an idea or suggestion, here's the poop:

I would wire them to a JAMMA cab ... I don't believe there is currently a way to get these working in MAME.

Really?  Hmm.. not even in a X/Y board like you would with trackballs or the like?

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Yeah....not exactly the way they work....
Introducing The Tone Ledger, a premium 5x7 inch, 100 pg notebook designed for guitarists, bassists, keyboardists...pretty much anyone who enjoys using amps and pedals. Great for experienced musicians, hobbyists, or students just getting started.

A very helpful topic.

A real shame that to figure out if this would work with my MAME v123 I would have to throw down big cash.

Welp, it's off to the net for PC guns. :)

Thanks for the insight folks

I refuse to use Vista.. so no worries there.  It's Windows XP - the RAM!
