Lame.

So basically it was a remote controlled gun.  If you are going to build a remote to kill yourself with make it something awesome like a Cyclon or megatron (which is actually a gun if he based it on the walter pistol).

edit- It looks like a saint from short circuit.
Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.

Interesting...

 Im wondering if he did it this way,  because in a way... he didnt commit suicide.   Instead,
the robot killed him.   Maybe this was his logic about avoiding going to Hell
(according to certain religious beliefs) , on a technicality.

I would imagine it's a little easier to just start the machine than actually pull the trigger yourself.
