Electrohome G07-CB0 Mirroring
« on: March 11, 2008, 12:29:09 am »
I've been working on this G07CB0. I have put in a cap kit as well as a new flyback (because the other one exploded). Now the monitor is running but there is an inch and a half or so of the right side of the screen that is smeared or mirrored of the line of pixels just left of it. Also, the H Pos selector doesn't seem to do anything.

Any comments are appreciated.

Where did you get the capkit? You did read the notice that cap position C302 has the polarity marked wrong on the foil (solder) side of the board?

There's a couple of non polar caps near C302 that are not normally included in most kits. Were those replaced?

I got the kit from Zanen Electronics. Yes, I got the C302 in correctly. There were some non-polar caps in the kit that I installed. After I put the flyback in (and before I put in the cap kit) it was doing pretty much the same thing. There was also a little warping going on in the left side of the screen but the cap kit seemed to fix that.

I decided to call Zanen electronics today. He said he couldn't envision why a monitor would smear/mirror like that. He suggested I try another game board in it to see if it did the same thing. I hooked it up in another cab with my xbox converter and it looked great! I put a different G07-CB0 in the Speed Buggy and it smears just like the other one. I need to pull out the Speed Buggy board and clean it up/re-seat the chips to try and clear up the smearing.
