Help setting up vector games in MAME
« on: May 22, 2003, 11:44:51 am »
Does MAME or MAME32 have settings that allow vector games to look more authentic? I seem to remember an emulator called retrocade that accomplished this...(for example: the shots looked brighter in asteroids, like in the real game).

No, you can't make the shots brighter on a crt.  This is a hardware limitation, not software.  crt white isn't as bright as vector monitor white.  Look at the white on this forum, that;s as bright as you are oging to get.

however, there was an emu, I think retrocade, that could put a "glow" around the lines.
