Music Billboard Top 100 Coverart Creation

Hello.  I have compiled coverart from the years of 1956 - 1995.  Attached are the coverart files for those who might want to use them with a jukebox application.  I have a request and hopefully someone can help me out here.  I have not had any luck finding coverart specific to the years beyond 1995 to 2007.  Would someone be willing to modify the attached coverart files and create specific coverart for those years?  Below you will see 2 winzip attachement files for the coverart and a text file that will show the top 10 songs with artist that would be neat to have on the coverart as well.  Similiar layout to what has already been created for the previous years.  There are a handfuld of layouts so whomever is willing to perform the work can pick whatever layouts they would like to modify for the years 1996 through 2007.  Looking forward to hearing back on this thread. 

Oh, I have not been able to obtain the year 2004 songs yet so I don't have a top 10 list.  Maybe randomly select songs for this year's coverart.  Again, thanks for everyone's help and hopefully we can ge a full set of coverart for everyone to use.  Thanks, Shane

Hello rothecreations.  I have no clue why the coverart stopped at 1995.  I have looked high and low on the web with no luck for the coverart for those years I don't have.  I thought that I might post them here and see if anyone could come up with a design for those years that are missing.  Maybe I should post a link in the mp3/jukebox forum here and see if I can't grab some more attention for this post.  Any help that I can obtain would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks,

I downloaded them and winzip wouldn't open them. Says it doesn't appear to be a valid archive. Any ideas? I tried just clicking on them and saving them that way twice and when that didn't work I tried right clicking and save as and that didn't work either.

Try changing the file extension from .zip to .rar and use Winrar to unzip.  I archived them with winrar with a .zip file extension.  Not sure why that did not work for you.  If it still does not work for you, please post and I will upload again.  Thanks, Shane

Ok here are the finished covers they are saved at 500x500 which you can edit to what size you want. I have manged to get the song list for 2004 and make the cover art for it. I hope they are the type of covers you are after if not let me know and i may be able to help  Andycass

Very good.  Thanks for the work.  If it is possible, instead of using one specific layout for the years 1996-2007, maybe try using a couple different layouts and see how that works out.  Looks like there may be a handful of layouts, specifically the years 1963, 1965, 1972, 1975, 1980 and 1994.  I think it would be nice to have maybe 2 of the same layouts specific for those years above to be implemented from 1996 through 2007 that way the coverart is somewhat balanced throughout the whole set.  The work you have done looks awesome.  If you don't feel up to modifying per my suggestion, don't worry about it.  We can work with what we have. 

2 of the same layout for 2 years and then switch another layout for two more years would be the ultimate solution.  There are 6 different layouts so there should be enough layouts to work with a minimum of 12 years.

Thanks Anycass for your work.  Those layouts will have to do then.  I figured someone besides myself would get use out of the coverart.  I can't be the only one that likes to listen to a wide range of music including the oldies, :-)....  The Billboard collections are nice to have.  Again thanks for your work and hopefully others can benefit from the uploaded files.  Thanks, Shane

Andycass, do you think you can wip up another coverart for the year of 1978?  Looks like the set is missing that year as well.  Below is the top 10 artist list for that year.

Yeah, agreed.  It's not the best tasting music and I would more than likely get up and leave the room if I heard these 10 songs playing in queue but it's still nice to have a complete set from the early 50's on up to recent years.  I am not lacking for harddrive space so why not. 

One more coverart to complete the set.  Hopefully the last coverart can be generated.  I am not a professional designer and know very little to nothing about photoshop and or any other designer application else I would tackle this myself.  Thanks,

Heres the missing year 1978 sorry i wasn't able to help you further with cover styles but without the original background images it would be impossible for me to make them the same as the 1963 1965 etc i may be able to do something with the rest of the 90s upto 2000 i'll let you know how i get on...Andy

Sorry if bringing this back from the dead is "wrong", but I remembered the artists in this thread made some really nice covers for the Billboard albums.

Now that the Billboard 2008 list is out, can someone make a cover for "Billboard 2008" similar to the 2000-2007 coves that andycass made?  Andycass shows last logged on in March
