scart switching (newbie)
« on: February 20, 2008, 05:06:20 pm »
Hi
I'm a newbie and am a little stuck. I'm building my cabinet at the moment (at the painting stage) and sussed out the svideo to scart prob by reading the old posts etc.
What I need to know is does anyone know or have they seen a post that shows how to get the scart to automatically switch my tv to AV2 (svideo). I've seen it somewhere and it involves a half dead 9v battery and some soldering. My prob is that the TV starts on channel mode and when the pc fires up it doesn't automatically change to the AV2 input so I have to manually change it using the remote.

does your tv not have a preference setting in the menu for the input?

No when turned on it automatically turns to TV channels but when I used my DVD player on it it would automatically change to AV1 or 2 depending on where the scart was plugged into.

Thanks for that grantspain, it works. I used a 9v battery ground onto pin 21 and positive onto pin 8.
Paintjobs finished and starting to assemble. Looking good.
