Space Duel
« on: May 20, 2003, 12:18:18 pm »
I am having a lot of problems getting vector games to run at the correct speed at high resolution.

Space Duel only runs at 35-37 frames per second at 1600x1200 unless I turn off "Throttle", then it runs at 140-190.

What can I do to make it run at the correct speed?

this might be bad advice but have you tried ticking the "match game refresh rate" box?

Yes. I tried that box. No effect. Still runs like a demon if throttle is off, and runs too slow if it is on.

ever try creating a vector.ini file and setting the resolution to 640x480.  That's what I do.

640x480 through 1024x768 works just fine. But vectors look awesome at 1600x1200. I just can't get most of them to run the proper speed at that res (Star Wars and ESB will, but none of the others will).
