If it only happens when you first turn the monitor on, just let the monitor warm up first before you use it.

Ok,
So I found that the composite cable was in the ground? and the ground was in the composite spot for the monitor, so i swapped them and everythign turned out fine....allmost.

the almost part is that i get not one image, but three overlapping images to appear on the screen, and the red, green, and blue lines appear to be staggered.  I did a service test and the crosshatch lines are white  and straight for the horizontal lines, and i get very wavy vertical white lines? what should i do?

i found the H-HOLD on the monitor pcb board and adjusted it the closest i could, but still no prevail, nothing seems to line up those damn lines and fix the image, i also switched neo geo boards to see if it was the board, still no good. please help.

I have the same problem than you. Mine is a Wells Garnder 27K7501.

Here's the problem :

the 3 primary don't converge on the edge of the screen :

closer :

Look the white border lines... and the ghost lines :-(

with a white background :

here it's suppose to be while lines :

It's worse when i have red text ( see the ghost text ) :

I'm affraid there is no issue at this problem. I check every harware setting, even the 6 rings on the back of the CRT.... My brother is a TV technician, he inspect it, and goes to the following conclusion : change the whole CRT :-( too bad...

The picture tube needs to be rejuvenated. If that doesn't help then you need a new picture tube.
Neo Geo is a standard res game not medium res. All the Neo's I've seen had mostly Wells 25K7191.
You should not have a medium res k7500 in it.

How can someone rejuvenate a picture tube?  Do you have to send it somewhere?

Take the monitor to a tv repair shop and tell them the picture tube needs to be rejuvenated. Should cost around $50.
