Yeah, it's a pretty good game.  It doesn't feel like Burnout though.  It feels like a demo derby version of Need For Speed.

I like the fact that the multiplayer "lobby" is the city.  You can do stuff while you wait for friends to join :)

I agree to an extent about the NFS reference.

I'm not a huge fan of the open world decision, but once you are in the races, it FEELS like burnout to me. It's crazy fast! I still think burnout 3 is the pinnacle of the series, but damn, do these wrecked cars look amazing!

Burnout and Grand Theft Auto make me sad not to have a next gen system.  Rock Band was also on that list until it got announced for Wii recently so at least I'll get to play that one (hoping I get it for my birthday in August, or for Christmas if it isn't released by August).  My wife is not a gamer, but for some reason the Burnout serious clicked for her.  She'll play Burnout with me for hours.  She loves it, and she's all about playing every event until we get a gold medal.  She really kind of turns into a hardcore gamer for that game.

I've only played the Paradise demo but, as Sir P said, it doesn't feel like Burnout.   Plus, I'm still trying to perfect every level of Burnout: Revenge so I won't be picking it up anytime soon.

good game but only thing I really hate about this game is how you you can easily get lost. like the race starts and there are alternate routes and such. it doesnt even say you are going the wrong way. that and not enough variety. I like burnout 3 best because you have so many different tracks to choose from. not just within a "paradise city". I still play online though GT : SNNAAKKE
