The phase-out will mean that once the measure is implemented, people will be unable to buy new incandescent bulbs to replace their old ones. But people will not be required to remove working incandescent bulbs.

I use 'em (CFL) in selected lamps. One of my gripes? Won't work with X-10 stuff. Even with an appliance module, they turn right back on after turning them off. It pulls enough current to trigger the "Hey, the guy hit the switch" mode...
same here, similar reasons - X10 for automation stuff, and they send out a TON of IR interference. I have a distributed IR system and a CFL on in the room will literally flood the system and make it non-responsive.there are some new ones coming out that solve the "slapback" x10 problem, are dimmable, but still flood the IR spectrum. I'll have to update my IR receivers to CFL friendly.
