Is this monitor able to be hooked up to an arcade game?  I have never heard of a computer monitor so large before.  It Uses standard monitor cable.  So can a monitor like this be converted into a RBG set up some how?

as long as the monitor can accept the games' scan feqs u should be able to interface it .

Generally, NO.

Most arcade games will plug into an arcade monitor, which generally syncs at 15KHz.  There are some exceptions for certain monitors and games. 

Generally, the computer monitors will sync at 31KHz or faster, which is incompatible for most arcade games using arcade monitors.

The key word here is "generally".

It would help if you let us know what game you are thinking of plugging in.

If you could give us the model # of your monitor then you might get lucky.

If your monitor supports 15 or 25 khz scan rates then you will be able to hook up an arcade board to it.

Additionally, many newer games can do 31khz.

I would definitely not disregard this monitor.  It could easily be turned into an hdtv.

they are a 31K VGA monitor only a scan converter may work but unsure of it.

also it should be a DL-31 or Dl-33 meaning a 31" or 33" display there was no 32" made

First, google that monitor. I know the DL-31-L is capable only of 60-75hz. This means it only does vga modes. I don't think there are any high vertical refresh equivalents in that range. (They're also notorious for vertical deflection failure. Cheap parts, but why bother?) If it has the same specs but it's free, it's worth messing around with it.

Well I can get this for $100.  I also already have a board that transfers RGB to RCA so I can use a regular TV which I can also get for 100 or less.

Hard to say. If only for Mame, I'd go with the tv. Then again, the convertor may make using other emus look okay. Daphne is suggested 640x480, so that should be fine. Visual Pinball is decent at 1024x768, and maybe 800x600, which would be out of range for the tv, but also not great for the monitor.
