How do I edit controls.ini so that LED WIZ lights correct buttons?
Deefish:
arzoo, you would think that would be it, but the entry does not have a 4th button line. Also the P1NmButtons is set to 3 on all of the sports games, ie, track and field and Hyper Sports and Hyper Olympic '84.
Thanks for the suggestion though. Any other ideas?

Did he actually mention which plugin he's using?

He did not. He did mention he's using a mala layout with a built-in (very basic) cp viewer - I figure that code must use controls.ini like the rest of us.
deefish - I tested Hyper Sports with LEDBlinky and it only lights up 3 buttons. So which LED plugin are you using?
Deefish:
Hey Guys, I am using the LEDWIZ v2.0 plugin for MALA.
When get home from work I will check Hyper Sports. I was specificaly talking about Hyper Olympic '84, which was not in the controls.ini, I copied the entry for Track and Field hoping that it would work, since I think '84 is a clone? and was not included in the controls project. Or am I wrong?
Either way, I was thinking that If I needed to add any other game not in the controls.ini list that I should be able right? The crucial thing being adding the correct rom title at the top, ie [hyprolym] so that it points to the correct rom file. Does that seem right?

I would expect that LEDWiz uses both the ROM and CLONEOF values to locate the game in controls.ini - but Loadman will have to answer that. Testing Hyper Sports won't really prove anything because I tested with a different plugin.

You should be able to add values to controls.ini, but I'm not sure why it would be necessary. LEDBlinky looks for the game in controls.ini and then if it's not found it looks at mame.xml (which has all the games). I would expect that the LEDWiz plugin does the same.
