G07 rolling top to bottom
« on: January 20, 2008, 12:08:32 pm »
Looking for a little help. G07 monitor. New cap kit installed, new horizontal width coil. Picture looks great, however I can't get the picture to stop rolling. I've been tweeking w/ the pots w/no luck. Swapped out v hold, v lin pots with ones from another chassis. No change. Swapped X302 and X306 w/ones from another board. No change. Not sure if my sync cable is hooked up properly. Should the sync from the jamma harness jump to both the neg horizontal and the neg vertical sync?  Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Steve

there should be a vert sync connection tied to the horiz..... ( composite sync)
vert will free run w/no ref signal ( may adjust it close , but no lock)
also check the input pins on the pcb for cold solder joints .... a common problem

Bingo. Problem solved! Thanks. I wasn't sure. The g07 manual says not to jump to both, however,  on Lizardlick Amusements website, they said to jump the vertical and horizontal when using a Jamma setup. Didn't want to screw anything up. Thanks for the help.
