Advice please? PICS POSTED FINALLY!
« on: January 08, 2008, 09:04:26 pm »
I'm starting a new project.  I've recently gutted an 8 liner, and I'm going to convert the cabinet into a MAME cabinet.  Anyone have any advice to help me out?  I'm attaching links to the pics I have of what I have to work with.  Everything but the PC Tower was already there I just put my tower in to see if I had enough clearance for it (Don't want you to think I'm a shoddy worker :P)

The dimension of the cabinet are:

Overall height:  5 Feet (I'm 6'1" so I'd like to raise this about 1 foot or so)
Overall Width: 23 3/4" Wide
Overall Depth: 28"

The Monitor cabinet is:  23" wide. and 19" Tall, and the MOnitor Shelf is 19" Deep

I had thought of mounting an X-Arcade Dual above the Control Board that exists because as I understand it is a little wider than the current control panel.  leaving a gap there to install a keyboard drawer in that will slide in and out, so that I don't loose the functionality of my computer.

Also if anyone knows of anyway I could above the screen build on a Marquee Box like your standard Arcade Machine I'd be appreciative.

Thanks everyone in advance!

Unfortunately sometimes Geocities won't let my pics show so if you have a Myspace account my URL is:

All my pics are public and are contained there as well!

Post the pics here so we can all see and you'll probably get more responses.

When you post, click on the Additional Options links at the bottom right below the textbox.

Thank you!  I didn't realize I could post through the forums.

The first pic is an overall view of the cabinet, within file size restraints, and the second pic is of the "pre-installed sound system" LOL

The first is an overall with the front panel opened up

I can post more, but I have to figure out how to get my filesizes down :(
