Puzz Loop style game for Mac ?
« on: January 04, 2008, 02:42:51 pm »
I know there are lot's of Puzz Loop-like games around for the PC to download. Is there a Mac version somewhere. Prefer not to play emulated on MacMame because of control with mouse....

I'm not sure what Puzz Loop style games are, but there are much more recent emulators for mac, since MacMame has been discontinued. Have you seen MAME OS X or SDLMame?

MacMame runs ok with me on OS X, but thanks for those links, I guess the OS X native version is better.

This is the kind of game I meant, think it's known under different names:

The balls circle around your "cannon" that shoots balls. By matching three or more of the same colored balls they are removed from the row of balls, that constantly moves into your direction....

I was thinking if you could find it done in Flash, you could download the SWF and use an HTML page to run it.  If I want to save a flash game on the PC, I will download the SWF and convert it a standalone EXE buy playing it with Flash Player and then selecting Create Projector from the file menu.  This basically wraps up flash player with the swf allowing you to send it to anyone to play.  I know EXE won't run normally on a MAC though.  Also, I'm pretty sure you can only have this stand alone flash player program if you install a Macromedia Flash development application.

Sounds like you need to get it on a MAME machine and use a spinner.

Oh wait, I just had an epiphany... Zuma is like what you are looking for... and it's on the Mac:

No problem... I just had to blabber on about flash long enough to remember Zuma.  I remember seeing it for my iPod a million years ago.
