Judging by the covered button holes, it used to be a Street Fighter (or some variant thereof). I found those types of cabinets sort of unfriendly as access to the bottom of the cabinet is limited and working on a chassis from the back hatch is a real pain. A word of advice: don't drop anything down there if you ever want to see it again! LOL!

Tell me about it! I was thinking last night, "man, this thing is a ---smurfette--- to get into! I was thinking of adding some more support "cross members" so to speak and having that panel attach with velcro. I do remember seeing "dynamo" on the serial number sticker so you are right!.

I as well, have always had a fondness for these style of machines. I hope you are able to locate one. Are you in the US? I will keep my eye open. I know shipping these things from the UK or JP can cost upwards of $1000!
If anyone has anymore info on this candy I would sure appreciate it. Hopefully I will get the cp, but If I don't I'll have to fabricate something. :(

You can always buy a control panel clamp set for a mere $8.95 at www.groovygamegear.com.

That will make the control panel stay on nice and strong without the need for Velcro.

I actually have 2 of these on the z-back on the CP right now! Well, I think I do. I'll take pics when I get home from work. That would likely work better (and last a lifetime) as opposed to velcro.
On another (stranger) note.....
I can't wait to get home from work and see my cabinets! I've already asked the lady to plug in the space heater in the garage so it will be a little warmer by the time I get home. I feel like a total dork, longing for my piles of particle board and plastic.....I've no more than got the things in the garage and I'm already hooked!

I just found out my candy cab is technically a namco "exceleena2" and the monitor was designed to rotate from horizontal to vertical. Pretty cool looking too.
More can be seen at

Zeppo:
Definitely a generic Dynamo cab.
I made plenty of those in my days working there.
Congrats on a great buy!
