Picking up this cab tonight, PLEASE help me identify what it was!**CAB IS HOME!!
Daniel B.:
Let me start off by saying I had originally planned to build my own cab but when I realized I don't have a great history of woodworking and fabrication my family cringed at the idea of me and 3 sheets a ply in the garage and all pushed me to buy an older machine to re-do. Easier said than done on that front, but luckily yesterday I stumbled upon a machine an hour away that I'm going to pick up.
It's been converted (klov lists the picture of this machine much different) Thundercade. The screen normally works fine but an adjustment knob got nudged and now it constantly rolls vertical. This isn't of much concern to me now because I'm going to be using a tv w/ svideo anyways. The seller was unable to provide measurements for this cab and I'm kinda curious if anyone knows what it USED to be, so I could get a better idea on size (IE: Can I get this thing in my basement?) Any help/ideas would be GREATLY APPRECIATED at this point.
On with the pics!
Thanks again guys.
EDIT: Also, what can I expect this thing to weigh?
EDIT: Pic's of original cab removed for bandwidth concerns, scroll down to see new find.
RayB:
Honestly, what I think you have there is a generic cabinet styled in imitation of "Frogger" and Centuri cabinets.
A Sega/Gremlin (Frogger) cabinet would have the glass tilted back at a low angle, while the Centuri cabs had slightly different side profile near the top marquee area.
Oh and as for weight: No more than 250 lbs
Daniel B.:
Thank you RayB.
as fate may have it, I'm also going to be picking up a rather nice warpwarp machine tonight as well.
I couldn't find a thing for months and now the arcade gods are smiling!
When it rains, it pours.
shardian:
Yeah, that is a small machine. roughly 24 inches wide, about 6 feet tall. You won't have a problem getting this into your basement.
