Windows Media Player playing DVD's
« on: December 29, 2007, 10:54:50 pm »
Does anyone know where I can get a decoder for Windows Media Player for playing DVD's or how to go about getting it to work?

Thanks,
Kevin

I have media player 11 and it plays DVD's great.  Didn't have to do anything special.  Just put a disc in and if it doesn't start automatically just use the menu Play>>DVD, VCD or CD audio and pick the drive.

If you need 'filters' for dvd stream rendering, check out ffdshow or the Dscaler5 codec.  I'm not sure how to configure them for media player (I use zoomplayer), but they should work.
