i have a scan converter with r g b out gpx 2000 they sell a 9 pin rgb cable to componet adapter will the adapter give a better picture than just stright componet out

any time a step may be omitted from processing may result in a slight improvement .
however, "converting" is a process and there is always an inherent loss in the process.
the original reason for using the S-video on a tv was to feed  seperate luma and chroma signals
directly into the set . the reason this resulted in pic improvement was it bypassed several conversion steps .
rf signal to if sig, to detected raw video w/sound to seperate video , to seperate luma /chroma processing and on to video drive out to crt......
many mfgrs simply tied the luma/chroma together at the jack and then off to processing - thus, defeating the original purpose . 

btw, it is NOT unusual to find "creative" spelling on forums.  a carry over from text messaging  :dunno
besides, english may not be their native tongue....and then there is the dreaded  " TYPO"
